Panic Attack Survival Kit
You brain is in control even if you have a panic attack.
1. Recognizing that you're having a panic attack. Be mindful. You are not going to die or go crazy. This too shall pass.
2. Focus on your breathing. Hyperventilating only makes it worse.
3. Distract your senses:
A. Touch something soft
B. Smell something nice
C. Look at something that makes you happy
D. Listen to calming music
4. Relax the body, muscle tension only puts you in a tough spot.
5. It'll cool down, a panic attack goes on for maximum of 30 minutes, you're safe even then.
6. Don't be afraid to get help, it's no shame.
