The Outsider Review
What would be your reaction if you are arrested for a crime you did not even commit and were miles away from it when it happened?
Well, this HBO original, based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Stephen King, answers this question when a disastrous and a heinous crime is committed in Cherokee City and a man named Terry Maitland, played by Jason Bateman, is charged for it.
All town evidences depict that Terry Maitland is responsible, until something contradictory takes place.
Did Terry Maitland really had something to with this crime or some higher power is involved?
Experience the truth yourself by watching this masterpiece of a show.
The cast is brilliant and is filled with people who play their roles as wonderful as possible. The story is something that'll keep you on the edge of your seat. The background score is eerie and ominous and fits beautiful with what the characters display and portray. The direction is smooth and can be studied by film and media students.
Jason Bateman as Terry Maitland is wonderful, you could see why he's an academy awardee.
Ben Mendelsohn is one the lead actors and blends well with Marc Mechaca and Cynthia Erivo.
