The Blind Side Review

I was watching a Tom Hanks movie, Sully, yesterday and I feel amazed with that movie everytime I watch it. But there's another movie that left it's mark on me, after watching Sully, a movie called "The Blind Side" started rolling.

So, basically, it's about a African American boy, Michael (played by Quinton Aaron), who had a rough past growing up and was lost until he found Leigh Anne Tuohy (played by Sandra Bullock), who is adamant and loving enough to give Michael a place to stay.

Leigh Anne and her family get so attached to Micheal that they decide on adopting him, when Micheal tells about wanting something that is proof enough of his identity, like a driver's license.

The movie majorly focuses on Michael's journey as an NFL player, supported by his coach and his legal guardian, now, Leigh Anne, and how he has to defeat the odds of not being able to study and get good grades to qualify for college admissions and NFL drafting session.

The Blind Side is a movie about hope, about courage, and love and how you should learn from your past but not dwell on it and rather face the future head on. And it definitely needs more recognition of people.

The Blind Side was released in 2009 under the banner of Warner Bros. Pictures, and had a box office collection of 309.2 million dollars.

I rate it 9.6/10.
